Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Dollard-des-Ormeaux was incorporated in 1960 under the mayorship of Joseph Paiement and his Council. In 1976, a park to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation was opened and is known as Centennial Park. It is still today a very vibrant and important factor in the daily lives of many residents of DDO. To emphasize the fact that it provides for its citizens, here are a few points to consider: 2 public and 4 private schools, 5 daycares, 3 preschools, 7 senior homes, 14 places of worship, and 6 health care facilities, 3 areans, 30+ parks, an aquatic center, 36 cultural and social associations, the City Gallery and the Centre for the Arts. A city of diversity and opportunity!
